Stunning original lacquer Mark VI tenor.

Condition: Wonderful condition

Selmer Mk VI saxophones are probably the most revered of all the vintage horns. Played worldwide by discerning professionals as well as being sought after by collectors, they are wonderful instruments. Production started in 1954 and ran until 1975 and most modern saxophones since then have been, in one way or another, an attempt at a Mk VI copy. They really should be on the trial list for any serious player.

This Mark VI tenor has the serial number 78XXX which makes its year of production 1959. It is finished in its original lacquer and is looking absolutely stunning. It features a recent re-pad and overhaul and shows no signs of any major damage or repairs on either the body or the neck. If you’re looking for a killing playing early MK VI tenor then look no further!

As with all of our instruments, trials are both recommended and encouraged. Please book an appointment or get in touch if you would like any more information
