Lovely original lacquer late Mark VI alto.

Condition: Wonderful condition
Age: 1974
Selmer Mk VI saxophones are probably the most revered of all the vintage horns. Played worldwide by discerning professionals as well as being sought after by collectors, they are wonderful instruments. Production started in 1954 and ran until 1975 and most modern saxophones since then have been, in one way or another, an attempt at a Mk VI copy. They really should be on the trial list for any serious player.
This Mark VI alto has the serial number 231XXX which makes its year of production 1974. It is un-engraved and finished in its original lacquer. It is in beautiful condition and has very little, if any, lacquer wear. It is free from any major damage or dents and the neck is perfect. It plays with a lovely warm, punchy sound that these late VI’s are famous for, and of course, feels amazing under the fingers. It is freshly serviced and setup in the workshop and is ready to gig.

As with all of our instruments, trials are both recommended and encouraged. Please book an appointment or get in touch if you would like any more information
