Rare twin neck, high G soprano
Yanagisawa have been making some of the finest saxophones in the world out of their small family run factory in japan for decades, with history dating back to 1893. Their soprano saxophones are regarded as some of the best in the world and the S990 is regarded as one of the best they’ve ever made. They often carry the Elimona badge and whilst this one doesn’t it still has the super desirable high G and comes with two necks.
This one is in great used condition. There are only a few marks here and there commensurate with use. It benefits from a recent COA service and wants for nothing. This horn really plays with a lovely warmth and complexity that you don’t often find in modern sopranos and it is an absolute joy to play.
