10mfan Chameleon. Here’s what they have to say about it.
“This is a free blowing powerful rollover baffle mouthpiece designed for my 3rd category, that allows players who don’t get along with step baffle pieces, a real opportunity at finally getting some serious power and volume into their playing with a big sound, but more focussed than the Black Widow model.
More brights also, and primarily made for the blues player, funk, smooth jazz player that needs power but not super brightness. The brighter player can RIP THE WALLS DOWN WITH THIS PIECE, and the sound has lots of body. This offers more freedom in the blow, punch, power, and brights than all my CATEGORY 1 + 2 tenor models…with body and proper balance for a true powerhouse piece! Players who love a medium-high rollover baffle design will dig this immensely, and it’s for all players looking for power and punch with some brights…. but not a piece that forces immense brights. Not as bright as a Guardala super king, or Dukoff superpower chamber, or Durga, or pieces like that. Free and powerful with a big sound top to bottom!
Design: This was designed for the powerhouse player that wants a big and powerful sound that can be tamed down and allows the player to play warm with punch and power, or brighter with punch and power, depending on the players ability. It is the most powerful of all of my tenor mouthpieces, but it’s not overkill! It’s got a huge sound, unlike so many other pieces in this category. It’s got a med-high rollover baffle that makes this piece very flexible, and a medium large chamber. Designed with straight sidewalls. This is not a total screamer piece it’s made with flexibility for warmth, punch, and power. I will be making a screamer tenor piece in 2025
