Selmer Mk VI saxophones are probably the most revered of all the vintage horns. Played worldwide by discerning professionals as well as being sought after by collectors, they are wonderful instruments. Production started in 1954 and ran until 1975 and most modern saxophones since then have been, in one way or another, an attempt at a Mk VI copy. They really should be on the trial list for any serious player.
This Mark VI alto has the serial number 72XXX which makes its year of production 1957. It is finished in an older re-laquer with nickel plated keys and a nickel pated neck. It is a fantastic player and sounds every bit as good as these early VI’s are famous for. It has had a recent service and is ready for its next owner.
As with all of our instruments, trials are both recommended and encouraged. Please book an appointment or get in touch if you would like any more information
