SOLD, Selmer Mk VI Baritone Saxophone ’66, 135xxx
£10,000.00
Condition: Wonderful playing condition
Age: 1966
Selmer Mk VI saxophones are probably the most revered of all the vintage horns. Played worldwide by discerning professionals as well as being sought after by collectors, they are wonderful instruments. Production started in 1954 and ran until 1975 and most modern saxophones since then have been, in one way or another, an attempt at a Mk VI copy. They really should be on the trial list for any serious player.
This one has the serial number 135XXX which makes its year of production 1966. Finished in its original lacquer with no engraving it is in magnificent condition. It looks and plays as though it has hardly been played. One of the finest examples you’ll ever see of a Mark VI baritone. It also features both low A and high F# which makes a real rarity.
Comes in its original case and benefits from a recent professional setup.
As with all of our instruments, trials are both recommended and encouraged. Please book an appointment or get in touch if you would like any more information
