Selmer Mk VI tenor saxophone ‘67, 142XXX

Selmer Mk VI tenor saxophone ‘67, 142XXX

£5,750.00

Silver plated 1967 Mk VI tenor

Condition: In good used, and great playing condition.
Age: 1967

Selmer Mk VI saxophones are probably the most revered of all the vintage horns. Played worldwide by discerning professionals as well as being sought after by collectors, they are wonderful instruments. Production started in 1954 and ran until 1975 and most modern saxophones since then have been, in one way or another, an attempt at a Mk VI copy. They really should be on the trial list for any serious player.

This one has the serial number 142XXX which makes its year of production 1967. One of the last in the run of Mk VI’s. It is finished in its original silver plate and is wonderfully free blowing with a wonderful rich tone. It benefits from a recent full re-pad and overhaul.

As with all of our instruments, trials are both recommended and encouraged. Please book an appointment or get in touch if you would like any more information
