Selmer Mk VII tenor saxophone ‘79, 292XX

Selmer Mk VII tenor saxophone ‘79, 292XX

£3,250.00

Post Mk VI monster

Condition: Cosmetically nice, and great playing condition.
Age: 1979
The Selmer Mk VII is a much maligned saxophone. After the legendary Mk VI, the Mk VII fell rather flat in terms of public opinion but, they are fantastic instruments none the less. They produce a big bright modern sound and, although larger feeling under the fingers, are still  fantastic ergonomically. With this in mind they offer a great value step into the world of ‘vintage’ saxophones.

This one has the serial number 292XXX which makes its year of production 1979. It has recently undergone a full professional setup and is ready for many years of playing with its new owner. It is a wonderfully free blowing and modern sounding instrument and is in pretty nice cosmetic condition.

As with all of our instruments, trials are both recommended and encouraged. Please book an appointment or get in touch if you would like any more information
