The SA80 Series 1 was the first proper ground up redesign of the baritone sax that Selmer did since the Mark VI, and they did a fantastic job. You see plenty of Series 2’s around but comparatively the Series 1 is quite a rare beast. They are great under the fingers and the intonation and tuning is fantastic. The sound is every bit as good as you would hope from a horn of this calibre.
