Selmer Mk VI tenor saxophone ‘71, 183XXX

Selmer Mk VI tenor saxophone ‘71, 183XXX

1971 Mk VI tenor

Condition: In good used, and great playing condition.
Age: 1971

Selmer Mk VI saxophones are probably the most revered of all the vintage horns. Played worldwide by discerning professionals as well as being sought after by collectors, they are wonderful instruments. Production started in 1954 and ran until 1975 and most modern saxophones since then have been, in one way or another, an attempt at a Mk VI copy. They really should be on the trial list for any serious player.

This one has the serial number 183XXX which makes its year of production 1971. It is finished in its original lacquer and is wonderfully free blowing with a wonderful rich tone. It has been well maintained and is a fantastic player.

As with all of our instruments, trials are both recommended and encouraged. Please book an appointment or get in touch if you would like any more information
