Yanagisawa A9932J (Pete King model) Alto Saxophone
£4,650.00
Stunning, bronze body, solid silver neck and bell.
Yanagisawa have been making some of the finest saxophones in the world out of their small family run factory in japan for decades, with history dating back to 1893. The 992 model with its solid bronze body, neck, bell and bow, now superseded by the WO20, is regarded as one of the best and most popular saxes that they produce. It offers an amazing balance of warmth and brightness, paired with great tuning, intonation, and ergonomics. The 9932J (Peter King model) is built on that same winning platform but with a solid silver neck and bell, as well as stunning added engraving. The result is a horn that not only looks stunning but is also sonically wonderful.
This one is in great used condition. There are a few marks to the lacquer but no major damage to speak of. It looks stunning! It benefits from a recent COA service and wants for nothing. This horn really blows! They are one of my favourite modern altos, they make a rich, warm, sound with just the right amount of brightness and are super resonant. Truly a joy to play.
As with all of our instruments, trials are both recommended and encouraged. Please book an appointment or get in touch if you would like any more information.
