Selmer Mk VI saxophones are probably the most revered of all the vintage horns. Played worldwide by discerning professionals as well as being sought after by collectors, they are wonderful instruments. Production started in 1954 and ran until 1975 and most modern saxophones since then have been, in one way or another, an attempt at a Mk VI copy. They really should be on the trial list for any serious player.

This Mark VI alto has the serial number 237XXX which makes its year of production 1975. It is finished in its original lacquer which, has some wear but is still in lovely condition and looks fantastic with silver plated keywork. It is a fantastic player and sounds every bit as good as the late VI’s are famous for. It has had a recent service and is ready for its next owner.

As with all of our instruments, trials are both recommended and encouraged. Please book an appointment or get in touch if you would like any more information
